" The Forest Has A Question " Acrylic on canvas 14"x18" $500.00 This is my second surrealist Lanquage of Light painting. Feels good to be doing surrealism again. I feel this one was a painting that saved my sanity for the week. Had a string of bad luck only Artists can have in one week, everything went wrong and I got injured at work and couldn't walk without a limp for a 4 days. Frida Kahlo is my hero at these time because I too believe that even if you are down, you still have something to give. This painting is dedicated to her and her immense strength through her tough times. "The Forest Has a Question" pulls from my environmental and spiritual backgrounds. If we go back to Mother Earth and ask what she wants instead of us demanding she give us what we want, you may get a very different answer. That is what this painting is trying to achieve. Loved making the colors and found a bright sunny Spring day to complement the image. Couldn't be happier with how the photo came out. Until next time then. Love your Mother Earth! -Joshua 2006 |
