Joshua Seligman, Dan Ferlan, and Bradley StroutDan Ferlan Art Opening at The Sharon Weiss Gallery, Columbus, OH May 2006
Okay, this was a great night! Dan's new Art work was amazing and half sold in the first one hour of his show. Dan and Brad are two of my best Artist friends in Columbus for about the past 6 years. All 3 of us went to Art school or college in the Pittsburgh area and came to Columbus after graduation. Dan and Brad met at Ai Pittsburgh and I met up with them at a bar-b-que party of Brad's in 2000. He has one every month and in the summer almost every week! The times we have had together. The best thing is we understand each other and support each other's goals. Not many people seem to understand the importance of our creations, so the Artists band together and it is all right! So happy and proud of Dan, his new style is fantastic, Latin, yet he admits he didn't use any Latin images for his work. That is amazing to me, the process of creating and what the muse has to show us, to show you. Just found out Brad is breaking also and has a large piece commissioned with the BoMA, or Bar of Modern Art. It will be a new Art venue for the city across the street fromn the Art Museum, and Brad will be a featured Artist. So these are my friends that I would do anything for in the name of Art, here in Columbus, OH.
